It was God’s will that the grace

with which He filled Saint Demetrios

.should remain active even after his death

This is why He caused to flow from his body a myron

,with a delightful scent,

, which had the property of healing all who took it as an unction

. with faith in the intercession of the Saint

من فائض نعم الرب و بركته

ان يتعطّر اسم القديس ديمتريوس بالطيب

حتى بعد مماته

و لهذا فإنه يتدفق من جسده الطاهر المايرون

مع رائحة طيب ذكية

الذي تميّز بها هذا القديس العظيم كي ييشفي

جميع الذين امنوا به و التجأوا الى شفاعته

فاللّهم بشفاعة القديس ديمتريوس الفائض الطيب ارحمنا و خلصنا

, imparting courage to Nestor in the stadium, in like manner

, holy one, great Martyr Demetrius

, invoke Christ God for us

.that He may grant us His great mercy

طروبارية القديس ديمتريوس

إن المسكونة وجدتك منجداً عظيماً في الشدائد ،

وعاضداً لا يوصف في الضيقات وقاهراً غالباًُ للأمم ،

يا لابس الجهاد ديمتريوس . فكما أنك حطمت تشامخ لوهاوش داحضاً ،

وفي الميدان شجعت نسطر مقوياً ،

هكذا توسل أيها القديس إلى المسيح الإله أن يهبنا عظيم الرحمة .
